- Sync and your devices — How a vault reaches your other devices, what happens offline, and what sync does not do.
- Working with local files — Open a vault folder on your computer so notes stay real Markdown files, on one machine or several.

The short version
Your notes live in a vault. A vault syncs to every device you sign in on. Folders are organisation inside a vault, so they sync with it. Nothing is locked to one machine, and you can keep real Markdown files on as many computers as you like.
Ewe Note works signed out. Notes stay in that browser on that device until you sign in, and nothing syncs until then.
